Role Overview

Senior consultant role providing comprehensive evidence-based interventional radiology care within SEHA.

Responsibilities

Provide evidence-based diagnostic and interventional radiology care; assess patients and histories; order/review imaging and tests; prescribe relevant treatment; perform and supervise vascular and non-vascular interventions such as biopsies, drainage, embolisation and angioplasty; manage inpatient/outpatient care and ward rounds; supervise junior doctors; work within MDTs; participate in rotational on-call; document promptly; and contribute to audit, peer review, risk management, infection control and patient safety.

Requirements and Qualifications

MBBS plus a recognised Tier 1/2 radiology specialty qualification and board/fellowship or equivalent in interventional radiology. The listing specifies around five years of post-specialty tertiary experience and expertise in vascular and non-vascular interventions, with valid/eligible DOH licensing, primary-source verification and good-standing requirements.
