Role Overview

Hospital pharmacist role preparing and dispensing medicines safely, resolving medication-related issues and supporting optimal treatment outcomes.

Responsibilities

Review prescriptions for appropriateness and legality; identify incompatibilities and work with prescribers to resolve them; dispense medicines accurately; counsel patients on use, side effects and interactions; support medication safety and regulatory compliance; maintain inventory; protect confidentiality; collaborate with multidisciplinary teams; and support junior colleagues and quality patient care.

Requirements and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, DHA pharmacist registration, and preferably two to three years of similar experience. Requires relevant resuscitation certification, ongoing CPD, confidentiality, MS Office, communication, flexibility, problem solving and ability to manage multiple tasks.
