Role Overview

Senior consultant role providing comprehensive evidence-based pediatric otolaryngology care within SEHA.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and manage pediatric ENT conditions including airway disorders, hearing loss, recurrent infections, sleep-disordered breathing, congenital anomalies and head/neck disorders; perform pediatric ENT procedures such as adenotonsillectomy, airway and ear surgery, endoscopic procedures and congenital head/neck surgery; manage complex pediatric airways with PICU, Pulmonology and Anesthesia; provide inpatient, outpatient, emergency and on-call care; participate in MDT clinics, quality improvement, audit, research and staff education.

Requirements and Qualifications

MBBS/MD or equivalent, board/specialist qualification in ENT, mandatory fellowship in Pediatric Otolaryngology, eligibility for DOH Abu Dhabi consultant licensure, and education/residency/fellowship/board certification from a Tier 1 country as stated. At least three years post-board experience as a Consultant Pediatric Otolaryngologist, with tertiary pediatric/children's or academic-hospital experience and demonstrated complex airway expertise.
