Role Overview

Pharmacy Assistant role supporting pharmacists and the pharmacy team with medication handling, inventory, records and patient-facing support in Reem Hospital.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists with dispensing medicines and preparing prescriptions.
• Receive, store and organise pharmaceutical products in line with established procedures.
• Monitor stock levels, support replenishment and check expiry dates.
• Maintain accurate records of medication supplies and transactions.
• Support compliance with healthcare regulations and hospital pharmacy policies.
• Help prepare medication orders for inpatient and outpatient services.
• Keep the pharmacy area clean and organised.
• Respond to patient enquiries and provide customer service under pharmacist supervision.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in Pharmacy Assistance, Pharmacy Technician or a related healthcare field.
• Previous hospital or healthcare pharmacy experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical inventory management and medication-handling practices.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal ability.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with pharmacy-management systems.
