Job Description

The Specialist Contracts Engineer supports contract administration on major engineering projects in Abu Dhabi. The position focuses on protecting the owner's contractual position during FEED and EPC delivery and ensuring the contracting process aligns with project plans, procurement controls and HSSE objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Support project safety and apply contract administration and procurement policies.
• Review FEED/EPC contract requirements, baseline terms, responsibilities, procedures and administrative controls.
• Arrange contracting kick-off activities and communicate administrative requirements to contractors.
• Monitor contractual insurance obligations, guarantees and documentation supporting potential claims.
• Review change notices, variation requests, change orders and amendments for cost, schedule, scope and quality impacts.
• Process site instructions, payment certificates, invoices and contract correspondence.
• Assess contractors' delay, disruption, prolongation and related claims together with the project management team.
• Maintain contract correspondence and change-control registers, project records and monthly administration reports.
• Support close-out, final accounts, warranties and issuance of contract completion documents.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent from an accredited university.
• At least 15 years of relevant oil and gas or petrochemical industry experience.
• At least five years in a similar contract engineering position on major projects.
