Job Description

The Specialist Pipeline Engineer leads offshore and subsea pipeline engineering for ADNOC Offshore assignments delivered under a Project Management Consultancy (PMC) model. The remit spans concept development, FEED, EPC engineering, fabrication and installation support, pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up interfaces.

The role coordinates engineers, designers, EPC contractors, vendors and multidisciplinary teams to review technical deliverables, resolve engineering interfaces and maintain conformity with project quality, HSE, schedule and applicable engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate engineering activities for offshore oil and gas pipeline systems.
• Guide pipeline engineers, senior engineers and designers, and monitor deliverable quality, schedule and budget.
• Review design bases, route studies, hydraulic assessments, wall-thickness calculations, pipeline stability, stress, expansion and buckling analyses.
• Review subsea flowlines, risers, shore approaches, tie-ins, crossings and subsea structures.
• Check compliance with ADNOC requirements and relevant DNV, API, ISO and ASME standards.
• Review EPC contractors' submissions, technical comments, project progress and engineering change requests.
• Coordinate with Process, Mechanical, Structural, Civil, Electrical, Instrumentation, Marine, Subsea and HSE teams.
• Participate in HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, risk, constructability and value-engineering reviews.
• Support procurement, fabrication, offshore installation, hook-up, testing and commissioning interfaces.
• Review installation methods such as S-Lay, J-Lay, Reel-Lay, tie-ins, hydrotesting, dewatering, drying and pigging.
• Prepare or review material requisitions, technical specifications, bid evaluations and vendor documents.
• Manage technical and HSE risks, advise project stakeholders and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements & Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent, or at least 15 years of relevant Oil & Gas or petrochemical industry experience as stated in the posting.
• At least five years of experience in a similar role on major Oil & Gas or petrochemical projects.
• ADNOC and offshore project experience.
• Project Management Consultancy (PMC) experience.
• Experience with FEED and EPC project phases.
