American Hospital Dubai is recruiting a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst in Dubai to turn complex healthcare data into strategic insights for clinical, operational and business decision-making.
Job Description
The role leads advanced BI reporting, healthcare-data analysis, statistical modelling and automation while partnering with clinical, operational, finance and executive stakeholders and mentoring other analysts.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain advanced dashboards and reports for clinical operations, quality, finance and population-health use cases.
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries across healthcare datasets such as EHR/EMR, claims, clinical and operational data.
- Analyze patient outcomes, readmissions, length of stay, utilization, cost and quality measures.
- Partner with clinical, operations, finance and executive leaders to define KPIs and translate data into actionable insight.
- Use Python for data wrangling, automation and predictive or statistical modelling.
- Lead root-cause analysis for data-quality and workflow issues and drive recurring-report automation.
- Mentor junior and mid-level analysts and collaborate with data-engineering teams on architecture and data pipelines.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Health Informatics, Computer Science or a related field.
- Advanced proficiency in Power BI or comparable BI/visualization platforms.
- Expert-level SQL skills and strong Python skills for data analysis and statistical modelling.
- Advanced knowledge of statistical methods.
- At least five years of Data Analyst experience with significant healthcare-industry experience.
- Ability to lead projects independently and communicate technical and clinical insights to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with healthcare standards and terminologies such as ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS and HL7/FHIR.
- Experience with cloud platforms and modern data warehouses.
- Exposure to value-based care, population health or healthcare quality-reporting programs.
- Familiarity with machine-learning applications in healthcare.
- Experience with Git, Agile/Scrum and mentoring or leading a small analytics team.

- Azure, AWS or GCP; modern warehouses such as Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake, Redshift or BigQuery.
- Git and Agile/Scrum workflows.
Work Environment & Career Development
