American Hospital Dubai is recruiting a Clinical Psychologist in Dubai to provide evidence-based psychological assessment and clinical intervention for individuals and groups.
Job Description
The role assesses psychological, emotional and behavioral needs, develops treatment plans, delivers therapeutic interventions, monitors progress and works with other healthcare providers while maintaining professional, ethical and confidentiality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct structured interviews, psychological assessments and clinical observations to identify psychological, emotional and behavioral issues.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and therapeutic interventions.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust interventions where required.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers in evaluating and managing patients’ psychological needs.
- Assess clinical risk and consider mental-health and social needs when planning interventions.
- Maintain accurate, secure clinical documentation and protect patient confidentiality.
- Participate in clinical training activities and mentor assistant psychologists, students and interns.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology of at least four years.
- A minimum two-year Master’s degree in Psychology or with a focus on Psychology.
- At least two years of experience as a Clinical Psychologist.
- Experience with psychological assessment and treatment across a broad range of mental-health conditions.
- Ability to plan psychological interventions, maintain clinical documentation and communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
