The GIS Platform Administrator manages database, infrastructure, security and platform operations supporting GIS services in Dubai. In practice, the role also covers administer SQL Server databases, backup/recovery and performance tuning, along with support infrastructure and security across Windows, VMware and network environments.
3. Key Responsibilities
- Administer SQL Server databases, backup/recovery and performance tuning.
- Support infrastructure and security across Windows, VMware and network environments.
- Maintain operating systems, applications and system utilities.
- Provide troubleshooting and technical support.
- Manage accounts, permissions and security controls.
- Support GIS services and platform availability.
4. Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related discipline.
- Around 8 years of experience in SQL, security and system administration.
- Strong knowledge of database, backup, operating-system and infrastructure administration.
