The HR Manager is a hotel leadership role focused on building an enabling and empowering workplace. The position partners with hotel leaders, manages core HR operations and uses HR data to support decisions while keeping practices aligned with UAE labour law, IHG standards and local hotel procedures.
3. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the hotel’s people strategy and HR initiatives in line with IHG standards and local employment legislation.
- Manage payroll and oversee compensation and benefits practices for accuracy, competitiveness and internal equity.
- Monitor HR metrics including turnover, absenteeism and exit-interview trends, then turn findings into improvement actions.
- Prepare, analyse and communicate monthly HR reports and insights to support business decisions.
- Manage the HR budget, office resources and operating expenses.
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, orientation and employee-lifecycle activities while supporting the hotel’s colleague culture.
- Drive performance management, leadership coaching, development conversations and a culture of continuous feedback.
- Recruit, train, motivate, coach and develop the HR team.
- Lead colleague communication, engagement, recognition and wellbeing programmes.
- Administer the annual colleague engagement survey and follow through on action plans.
- Oversee colleague facilities and welfare standards.
- Maintain accurate HR records, employee files and HR systems while protecting data privacy.
- Partner with department leaders to strengthen leadership capability and service culture.
- Support community and social-responsibility participation.
- Ensure compliance with labour law, company policies, hotel procedures and IHG brand standards.
4. Requirements & Qualifications
- Previous Human Resources experience in the hospitality industry.
- Five years of related experience in HR management.
- Strong knowledge of UAE labour law, HR practices, payroll and employee relations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
- A proactive, approachable and solution-oriented mindset with a focus on developing people.
- Professional handling of confidential information.
- Strong analytical ability to interpret HR data and produce actionable insights.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR systems.
- Ability to inspire, influence and build positive relationships across organisational levels.
- Fluent English and Arabic.
